Our First Virtual Show!

What's it like to be awake when the rest of your world is asleep? Meet an early-morning jogger, a radio DJ whose show may have an audience of none, a modern Romeo and Juliet, the author of a most unusual letter, and many other teen characters as they search for connection in the magic hour. Through a series of connected scenes and monologues, join them on their journey as they discover whether the monster under the bed is real and collectively wonder...is there anybody out there?

The Magic Hour

(4 AM ~ One Year Later)

It's 4 A.M. and for a group of teens, it's time to wrestle with the changes in their lives. The DJ of the Internet's loneliest radio show gets an unexpected "like," a serial letter writer gathers the courage to actually send one, best friends confront the reality of growing apart, and a modern-day Romeo and Juliet discover balcony scenes are harder than they look. In this moving series of scenes and monologues, the monster under the bed is definitely real...but is anyone ready for what comes next?

The Philadelphia Fringe Festival

September 10 - October 4, 2020

The Philadelphia Fringe Festival is a 4-week long, city-wide celebration of innovation and creativity in contemporary performance. Each September, the Festival explodes into every nook and cranny of Philadelphia with more than 1,000 artistically daring performances, including national and international performances curated by FringeArts, and works that are produced by independent artists and promoted by FringeArts.

This year’s festival will be predominantly virtual, featuring over 120 works across genres and platforms. A handful of events will take place outdoors, and follow all city and state guidelines around social distancing and public health measures. Scroll down to find shows live this September!

Fringe Festival Brochures are on their way to mailboxes across the country as well as the FringeArts building! In the meantime, you can check out our digital Fringe Festival Brochure here!
